  18. It won't make much of a difference to me since newly generated PK
  19. files always go to a fixed directory (well, it will depend on the MF
  20. mode used, but it will not depend on the font name for example) at my
  21. site.  Thus, `real' disk search will only have to be performed for
  22. that one directory (i.e., no extensive subdirectory searching).

  24. However, note that the programs will still work if you change back to
  25. the old interface.  The only change, the user will see, is the echoing
  26. of the path for the generated font.  But the font _will_ be found, and
  27. that is the important point.
